All the College and Pro ballers I hooped with as a youngster in the DC area. They gave me inspiration to aim high and go for my dreams. They were all positive role models who taught me the benefits of being smart and using sports to get you places you couldn't get to otherwise!! I didn't have a father figure growing up and those guys were positive influences that grabbed my attention early at an impressionable time in my life as a youngin' in the Washington DC area. Maybe they saw a lot of themselves when they saw me. I know first hand how positive role models can impact the life of a kid in a not so fortunate situation.
