Influences
I have been influenced by so many artists it would take the whole page but here is a few: Dave Weckel, Billy Cobham, Steve Gadd, Vinnie Caulliuta,
John Bonham, Niel Pert, well you get the idea. My favorite bands are Green Day, Chick Corea, Santana, Van Halen, Led Zepplin, Louie Belson, Paul Mc Cartney and that list is endless as well. I continue to grow and be influenced by all the great bands that are playing now and have passed but left their mark. I have been playing drums since the age of five. I studied music in school through college. I have played many types and styles of music including concert band, orchestra, marching band, jazz big band, jazz trio work, percussion ensemble and did a few musicals. I am currently playing in Los Angeles/Ventura and surrounding counties with many different bands. “Tone KillerZ” is Rock and Roll that grabs you and is a blast through the hard rock classic hits from the past. This is a “party band” that can light up any evening. "Danielle Taylor" is an up and coming original artist that I have had the pleasure of playing with the past year or so. "Debra Farris" another original artist from Santa Barbara that I worked with for about 2 years and can be heard on her “Blues Cat” CD Please take the Myspace link below. "Back Pages" is another corporate/casual band which has a list of 300 plus tunes from the 50's through today. I have had the privilege of playing with Back Pages for Dr. Laura’s Annual Company Christmas Party for the last 4 years. "INDOFRUMBAH" an original band that everyone said we had the “Sublime” Quality in some of our songs. “”Rock meets Ska meets Reggae meets Grunge with a touch of sarcastic, nasty sexual innuendo, and humor””. (Or something like that). I’m sure the CD that I am “Drummer” and “Recording Engineer” on, is available for download. (Again below M.Space link) "Runs With Scissors" was another corporate style cover band, “Flashback” was another corporate style band playing the hits from the 50’s, 60’s, 70’s, and 80’s through today. “Back Trax” another corporate style cover band, "Dreamboat Annie" a "Heart" Tribute band, "O Feel Ya" (Live Kareoke cover band), "Mojo" band and its other “name changes” as a House Band for 6 years in Lake Arrowhead. (original/cover) and finally, “LA Beginnings” which is my passion to get off the ground, and to play local California/LA venues/Corporate and City fair events. It will be billed as a "Tribute to Chicago" the Terry Kath Years. I have a passion for Chicago's music that has been with me since a child. You can take the music away from the musician......but the musician is always there..........I strive to give a great performance every time I play........
