Eclectically blending bluegrass, rock & roll, folk and soul, Alabama native Mike Anderson has quickly found his home in Nashville. This twenty-one year-old consistently delivers raw energy live, while still managing to harness creativity for intricate production in the studio. His debut album, “Closing Credits for a Fire,” was released in January of 2009.
After trying a number of incarnations, Mike established the current lineup of The Deputies. With Taylor Lonardo (of Tequila) on bass, Evan Hutchings (of Griffin House) on drums providing a tight yet dynamic foundation, the technical prowess of Michael Sharp ..board, and the tasteful accompaniment of Daniel Scobey (of The New Whole Usuals) on guitar. Mike has found an incomparable group of musicians that brings to life his spirited voice and moving songs. Drawing influence from all genres of music, Mike Anderson & the Deputies live show promises a healthy dose of well crafted originals, along with choice selections from classic artists ranging from Michael Jackson to The Band.
