Raised on the banks of the Memramcook River, in Dorchester, NB, Mike Aubé’s music is shaped by the natural beauty of the Maritimes. Filled with rich imagery of Acadian mixed forest and muddy tidal estuaries, Aubé’s songs also explore human frailty with compassion and humour. And occasionally, the humour takes over completely, resulting in a local cult classic such as Dashboard Jesus.
Inspired by the likes of Bob Dylan, Arlo Guthrie and Ron Sexsmith, Aubé delivers these subtly subversive and nature-loving folk songs with a rhythmic guitar orientation and whiskey-smooth vocals. His songs remind us to be reverent toward the earth, resist the fad lifestyles of the corporate conspiracy, and yet to be careful not to take ourselves too seriously.
Organic and with a laid-back stage presence, this is feel-good music that nevertheless can make you think - like "medicine for your soul".
Hi Mikey, Are you up for the Sherbrooke song writers camp this year? Different set up this year.Several showcases and only the good stuff goes on the stage.Mentors list is still on going but looks great so far. GQ

Sounds like the Dylan concert was disappointing - bummer... sorry to hear that, Mike. Kinda glad now that I didn't go - don't like paying big bucks for bad pizza either. So are you gonna write a review?! -Susan
hey Mike. Bob Snider almost killed me in the Rockies... a 61 year old pot-head driving down a mountain at night through fog!!! Haha... it was a great trip, and we got some awesome footage. I can't wait to share the stories. he really showed his personality on-camera, and I bet the valley will dig it. peace.
Hi Mike I'm enjoying "Dashboard Jesus".Reminds me of a tune I haven't heard in 30 years. "I don't care if it rains or freezes, long as I got my plastic Jesus, sittin'on the dashboard of my car." But I can't remember what the tune was called. GQ
