Drawing on many years of experience on stage and in the studio with Contemporary Christian artists Don Francisco, Wendy and many more, Mike Banta weaves many guitar styles into a seamless package of uplifting and beautiful music. His latest all instrumental CD “No Words” has something for everyone, from the meditative fingerstyle of “The Yearning” to the rocker “Kaboom”. Mike also performs as a singer / songwriter, as showcased on the soon to be reissued CD “Fire of Heaven”.>
In addition to recording solo and with other artists, Mike regularly plays in concert in his home state of Colorado, and throughout the United States and the world.>
“Mike has a rare combination of technical ability and musicality -- complexity with emotion -- that makes him one of the noteworthy guitarists of this century. His music both astounds and captures the heart.” -- Don Francisco, Contemporary Christian Music Artist, winner of two GMA Dove Awards

Greetings Mike! I thought you might enjoy this: "Atheism: The belief that there was nothing and nothing happened to nothing and then nothing magically exploded for no reason, creating everything and then a bunch of everything magically rearranged itself for no reason whatsoever into self-replicating bits which then became dinosaurs. Makes perfect sense." - taken from Melody Green's Facebook page. 7/16/09 Because He first loved us...always, Kim :"O)

Wishing you all of God’s blessings this Palm Sunday Mike.
As he rode into town on a donkey, As he rode into town that day, All the people, they came and they shouted, And they cheered him as he rode their way.
Sing hosanna, sing hosanna! Sing hosanna to the King of kings; Sing hosanna, sing hosanna! Sing hosanna to the king!
Do they know why they sing, why they’re shouting? Do they know why their praises ring? Do they know that the one they are cheering Is their Lord, their Saviour and their King? Sing hosanna…!
As we join in the praise of our Saviour, As we sing out for joy today, We remember that day with the palm leaves And we know that we must live His way. Sing hosanna…!
I went to see ‘Why Good Friday?’ in Poole on Monday evening. Unfortunately, Don Francisco was refused entry into the UK and deported back to the states. I was still praying that Don would be let back into the UK by immigration in time for the show, but sadly this never happened.
I really enjoyed the show, but would have loved to have seen Don perform the part of the narrator. Sadly the matinee performance I had booked for the next day was cancelled too.
Still, I had a nice couple of days away, but hope to see Don in the UK soon.
