Sports - I like to play football, basketball, softball. I've tried to play hockey, but I can't stop in skates, so I have to throw myself down to stop, so I can change directions. I like to watch baseball, football, basketball and hockey.
Travel - I like to travel. I have been to 36 U.S. States, and many of the country's biggest cities.
Spontanaciousness - I've been known to just pick up and drive to Iowa for no reason.
I also like making up words, like spontanaciousness.
Other - I play on softball leagues. I basically grew up in a bar, so I like to shoot pool and play darts. I'm the family genealogist. I do a lot of family research, and have found out I am related to a lot of interesting people. Most of the work I have done is not published online, but here is an online source that includes some of the research I have done: CLICK HERE. Follow the links that say "Mike's Direct Ancestors" and "My Famous Relatives".

Movies
Flicks that are blatantly stupid and quotable. I have a hard time sitting through most movies unless they are funny. Some of my favs are: | View Show | Create Your Own
Television
Family Guy, Scrubs, Chappelle Show, In Living Color, Seinfeld, Friends, Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Robot Chicken, The Biggest Loser, Big Brother, Law and Order SVU, Forensic Files, Cold Case Files. I enjoy trivia game shows - 1 vs 100, Who Wants To Be A Millionaire, Show Me the Money. I also like to catch an episode of Beavis and Butthead once in a while. And I love the little-known gem Sifl & Olly. Season one of the Joe Schmo Show was the best reality show I've seen yet.
ALLLRIGHT!
Books
I don't have the patience to sit around and read a book. I can barely sit through a movie...
If you play this game, and ask yourself "am I winning?", the answer is yes, yes you are.
Heroes
Those that have fought for my freedom. I have 17 direct ancestors that fought in the Revolutionary War. My great grandfather served the US Army during World War II, and helped plan the invasion of Normandy. I also have 6 direct ancestors that fought in the Civil War (on both sides), and many uncles and cousins that have fought in many United States involved wars.
About me: I don't take myself seriously - so if you hear me say something that sounds arrogant or conceited, I'm just joking around. I have a condition called Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, which causes me to feel completely exhausted at all times, regardless of how much sleep I get; this condition has had, and continues to have a huge impact on my daily life. Spring is my favorite month, it is when baseball starts and I enjoy the anticipation of nice weather. I can throw a football 65 yards. I once got hit in the chest with a package of frozen chicken while sliding 30 MPH through a frozen parking lot on an innertube. I once did a flip over the roof of a 1992 Escort without touching the roof of the car. I've always had the skinniest, whitest chicken legs. I've never seen any of the Star Wars movies. I was 6 feet tall and weighed 120 pounds when I started high school. I can touch my foot to the back of my head while standing up. I have an extremely high tolerance for alcohol, but I get hangovers easily - a bad combination. I wish I had more time for my friends. Despite the fact that I've played thousands of hours of basketball in my life, I'm still terrible at it. I was better at shooting pool when I was 8 than I am now. I have a lot of random, useless knowledge rattling around in my melon. I've only seen 1 animated Disney movie. I like crappy music and I don't know why. I do dozens of impersonations, a few of them I actually do fairly well. Ostriches freak me out. I once got hit in the head with 2 falling cinder blocks. The second day I had my first car, I veered off the road and drove blindly through a corn field for 1/4 mile. I once got pulled over every day for 80 days straight, some days more than once. I once peed for 3 minutes and 58 seconds straight.
Who I'd like to meet: A giant midget! Mike Tyson and Christopher Walken. And this guy in the green. He looks like fun at a party.
Yeah, of course I'll add you to the list! We haven't really put one together yet but that's definitely something I need to do right away, because she could be here any day now I suppose. Do you get texting on your phone? I figure the easiest way to let people know en-masse is just to text, at least at first... we will be making individual phone calls probably once we get back from the hospital. Unfortunately we don't have wi-fi at the hospital so I won't be able to update people that way at first. Not that I'll want to anyway... I don't think I'll want to put the baby down for a second!
Yea Mike when you coming in town you gotta get a hold of me bro we can hit a bar up or something,, we getting old Mike,,lol,,, tell Ercia I said hi and Justin too!!!
Well Mike it seems as though the Tigers didn't make the playoffs but they did a lot better than the Padres this season. The boys from Motown are quite a bit easier to watch than these guys down here. At least we have football to look forward to now right? I've got a good feeling about both teams this season.
I approved your comment but it didn't go through!! Oh well. Yeah I'm sure I will need as much ADVICE as possible! And I'm a little worried we'll end up following the Caltrider trend and have more than one growing in there... EEK!
