   About Mike Bennett Poetry Space
Hello, my name is Mike and I wanted a place where I could put some poems I wrote a few years ago. Obviously I could've just stuck them up in a written form, but I've already done so at Editread.com.

I wanted to be able to actually read them myself in a kind of global poetry night type-way. So that's what this is: so get a pint of real ale, fill your pipe with rough shag and give the chin a good stroking to these.

I've also written a book which I'm podcasting, it's called One Among the Sleepless and if you follow the picture of me there in My Friends, it'll take you to my other space and from there you can check out the podcast.

I live in Dublin, although I'm not from there, I'm from England. My wife is Irish and that's how I came to be over here. I like it here, I teach English and - well, all I ever seem to do in my free time at the moment is slave over a hot podcast. However, that'll be finished before June and I can go back to whatever I was doing before I started it. If I only I could remember what that was.

I love BUNTY! You are a talented geezer all things considered. The wife hated it though. Sorry.

Hey! I just wanted to give you a little update on what's going on in my life. Check out my MySpace page to see me in the movie trailer for an upcoming feature-length film documentary on contemporary American poets called The State of Poem. To hear me read my latest New Orleans poem, play “Massacre My City 2005” on my home page. Look for my totally awesome 80’s boom box to listen to a clip from my personal interview and poetry reading on BBC radio. Have fun exploring my site and leave me a comment! Let me know how you are doing. Best Wishes, Matthew
