Mike grew up in Colorado where he started playing guitar when he was 18. After a few apathetic years as an advertising major, Mike switched to music and eventually graduated from the University of Colorado at Boulder with a performance degree in Classical Guitar. While in college Mike played jazz, classical, and rock with various musicians in Denver and Boulder. During college Mike was fortunate to study with Dale Bruning, a legendary teacher/guitarist in Colorado from whom he learned many things that are still sinking in. Mike is now back in Colorado getting his masters in Jazz guitar from CU Boulder and gigging as much as possible.

I sent you an email, but I guess you're too good to read all of your electronic messages. Here's a brief summary: Your annual holiday party invitation was once again returned with my annual "sorry, but I won't be around" reply. It's our little dance.
Can I have ADK on .mp3? Too chill. I wanted a scotch and shades when the groove first sung to my ears.
Hey man, how are ya? I sure wish I remembered you were living in Seattle before a few weeks ago, as I was working up there for a couple of months. Not so anymore, to the misfortune of the pinnacle of modern humanity. Anyway, keep it groovy, Hyland.
