I'm taking acoustic guitar lessons currently. I do some writing: poetry and essays mostly, and one poorly written unfinished novel. I also used to be a member of Jax Symphony Orchestra Chorus, but that was a long time ago (BC: before children). And I've recently discovered exercise; who woulda thought that lifting heavy stuff would actually feel better than just lying around?

I like epics. I'm still stuck on Braveheart. That was a great movie.
Television
Eureka, Dead Like Me, Robot Chicken, Code Monkeys, and Inuyasha. SpongeBob is also a guilty pleasure (thanks to my youngest son). Ooh... how could I forget Firefly and Farscape?!
Books
I do lots of reading; it keeps me sharp on so many levels. My Bible is always at the top of my reading list. Also I just finished up "1984", "Dune", "Mere Christianity" by CS Lewis, "The Book of Enoch" (from the Dead Sea scrolls, for those of you not up on your Coptic Theology), and "The Children of Hurin" by JRR Tolkien, and now I'm getting into "Godel, Escher, Bach: An Eternal Golden Braid" and "Chaos" (you know, butterfly effect stuff). After that, I have "The Republic" and "Pilgrim's Progress" queued up on my bookshelf, and/or whatever else catches my whimsy.

About me: I'm newly remarried Dad with my 2 boys who live with me, and with another on the way. My wife and boys are the most important people in the world to me. Right now I work as a programmer for a big insurance company. More than that, though, I guess you could say I'm an intellectual Pentecostal, with a call to music and missions.
