Michael LePond started playing bass at the age of 13. He played in numerous unknown bands until 1999 when he became a member of Symphony X. Since his acceptance into the band, he has appeared on the following SYX releases: "The New Mythology Suite", "Live on the Edge of Forever", "The Odyssey", and the current "Paradise Lost".
Mike has also worked with other bands such as Seven Witches, Distant Thunder, Painmuseum, Operatika, Heathens Rage, and Stygia. As One of the most well known bassists in the progressive metal scene today, Michael continues to receive numerous accolades for his fast, furious, yet precise playing style.
