It’s time to grab hold of your dreams and make them a reality. I cling to the words of another song that says, “If you want to be somebody, if you want to go somewhere, you better wake up and pay attention. When the time is now or never to make your dreams come true, you gotta wake up and pay attention.” Today, Barack Obama becomes the 44th President of the United States. Many Americans thought they would never see this day, but its here. We are witnessing history. Today, Barack Obama will take the Oath of Office. I want to challenge you to take an oath as well. Write your own oath and live up to it. Here is the oath that I have decided to take: I, Unik, do solemnly swear to live my best life. I will live every day as if it’s my last. I will increase my physical activity, decrease my intake of unhealthy foods and meditate daily. I will laugh more, serve more, and take time for me. I will be the best that I can be, so help me God.
