Anyone who has the courage to be themselves and not put on an act for those who would judge them.
Chi sono: I was involved with the independent film studio Dept. 13 as a writer and actor for over 16 years. They were good times I will not forget.
For Dept. 13, I started working with them way back in the early '90s when "Twisted Realities" the TV show was seen on Dekalb Co. Public Access channel 12. Probably one of the better shows on at the time, it went on to win a number of awards including "Best Science Fiction and Mystery Show". After the show ended, Dept. 13 went on to produce short films such as the classic "Dial 911", written and directed by my friend Barry King, "Realm of the Bizarre", to the infamous "Boobie Trap" starring Melissa Wolf. Sadly, Dept. 13 closed its doors on 04/03/07. For me, it was the end of an era.
My other passion is the theatre. My acting resume continues to grow and I couldn't be happier. The first play I was in was "The Odd Couple" where I played Murray the cop. I followed that show with another Neil Simon comedy, "Barefoot in the Park" as Paul Bratter. Both these shows were for The Pumphouse Players who are based in Cartersville GA and perform primarily at the Legion Theatre. The third was William Gibson's "The Miracle Worker" having been casted to play James Keller, older half brother of Helen Keller. This show was performed at the Grand Theatre by Stage Works Inc. The Grand is also in Cartersville and the show ran in Sept. 2006. In March 2007, I did my first dinner theatre show called "Murder at the Church Street Tea Garden". I played Professor Nicholas Hale, one of the many suspects in this murder mystery comedy. I also did one of my most challenging roles in March. I played Otto Frank in the Theatre on Main's production of "The Diary of Anne Frank". I followed that up with a light hearted role for the Pumphouse Players production of "Crimes of the Heart" where I play Barnette Lloyd. This show ran in June 2007. In July into August I played Willum Cubbert in Larry Shue's "The Nerd", again for the Pumphouse Players. I finished the year playing Scrooge's nephew Fred in "A Christmas Carol" for Stageworks Inc. at the Grand Theatre in Carterville. In 2008, I was in "Our Town" and "The Nerd". I hope to add more to this list very soon!
In 2006, I was involved in the making of a short 6 minute film for the IFC MediaLab website. Films are posted on this site and voted on by the public. I'm happy and proud to say our film was one of the top five for the month of May and aired on the IFC Channel in the month of June.
I am a toy collector. I collect mostly Star Wars toys, old and new. I also have many Adventure Team era GI Joes and playsets as well as Generation One Transformers. My house looks like a toy museum and I wouldn't have it any other way!
Other than that, I'm a fairly fun loving guy, probably too laid back and always looking forward to meeting new people and making new friends. Thanks for stopping by!
You scored as Batman, the Dark Knight. As the Dark Knight of Gotham, Batman is a vigilante who deals out his own brand of justice to the criminals and corrupt of the city. He follows his own code and is often misunderstood. He has few friends or allies, but finds comfort in his cause.
Please help Walter Koenig, "Chekov from Star Trek TOS", Get His Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame! Walter has been nominated for his star and waltersstar.com has raised the money to manufacture and install the star (Thanks!). All Walter needs now is the votes of the Walk of Fame Committee. Write to the Walk of Fame Committee a polite letter in your own words, why you think Walter should have a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. These NEED to be letters from each individual fan in the fan's own words. Not copies, Not form letters, Not chain letters.
