The dynamic duo of "The Mike-n-Rob Experience" or "MR.E" for short, and for a play on words, because MR.E sounds like "mystery."
"It's a MR.E to me"
Mike Snodgrass and Robert Gross both profound musicians from Southern West Virginia, match up to make MR.E. I know you all are wondering how only TWO artists can form such a full sound…well, they form their own. It is very unique how the duo came together in music harmony not only with vocals, but also their instruments. At their live shows you’ll always get a taste of a good time and comedy.
Mike Snodgrass is the lead singer and guitar player of MR.E. He originally started out as a drummer at a young age. “I never really thought I’d pick up any other instruments, let alone sing! But, the time came when I started getting interested in furthering my music abilities.” says Mike. So, he picked up guitar, started singing some DMB and went from there! Now, he’s trying to experience anything and everything he can with his music. Snodgrass plays drums, guitar, bass, harmonica, various percussion, and other foreign instruments.
The other half of MR.E, Robert Gross, Snodgrass met in school at a young age. Ever since that, they have been playing music together. They played in middle school band, high school marching band, percussion ensembles, jazz and concert bands, and other random (non school related) bands. The Mike-n-Rob Experience started basically from boredom. Mike had just graduated college and Rob was out of high school. They started hanging out more and more, playing music for fun, and realized that there could be something good out of this.
Robert Gross is the percussionist and back up vocalist of MR.E. He mainly grew up in church playing gospel/soul and R&B music. Later in life Rob experienced a heavy metal and rock music stage. Not only does he play drums, but also plays piano, a little guitar, and bass. “I’ve played in a number of bands and musical groups. I’ve played in high school marching band, percussion ensembles, jazz and concert bands, as well as other bands not in school that made me into the musician I am.” says Gross.
