Chicago, Il native, began music in 1976 playing trumpet in Morgan Park High School. Studied electric bass while learning to play the trumpet. Initially self taught as a bassist, but learned to transpose and translate the trumpet studies over to the bass. Quickly developing abilities on both instruments and sitting first chair trumpet by the end of freshmen and subsequent high school years. Played solo and third chair trumpet in Chicago's All-City Jazz Band from 1976-1980. Played bass in numerous local jazz, R&B, rock, and blues bands after high school. Played on many recording sessions for major and independent labels in the Chicago area. Toured four countries and all over the U.S. Currently producing, recording, and publishing original compositions.
