About Mike St. Jude & The Valentines
Mike St. Jude & The Valentines are a tight combo playing music in step with the great beat groups of yore, though they're not a bunch of yorists necessarily. They're the boys next door mowing your lawn & taking your daughter out on a date to the zoo or the museum. Sure they might have a little grass in their pocket, but after all they did mow your lawn. Their the lads behind the counter at the ice cream parlor serving ear candy on a sugar cone for you & your date. Ok. Ear Candy sounds kinda gross but then again, so are they...in a handsome sort of way. If they had a press agent, that person would have the unenviable task of trying to dazzle you with descriptions of how Mike St. Jude & The Valentines have a little bit of everything for everyone: Rock 'n' Roll and R&B, traces of Folk, rhymes & beats, a little classic Country & Western, the chime of Mersey Beat, the energy of classic Mod, the continuing spirit of Post Punk. But we don't have someone working for us to write that kind of dribble. So instead we'll just borrow from the great thinkers of history & tell you, just as Kerouac had once said when giving his stump speech on "The Beat Generation" We dig everything. The Band recently finished a new record together released spring 2008 entitled 'Here's To Your Black & Blue Heart'. Mike St. Jude & The Valentines have another record called "Fallout Patterns of the Hoodshot Blues" which is also available. They edited their profile with cereal
