Sounds Like
The Future. Not the future of hip hop, the future of music!!! For real though!
Born and raised in Little Rock, AR. Grew up in whats called the Hillcrest area. Surrounded by hip hop early on from Big Daddy Kane and LL Cool J to M.C. Hammer and Vanilla Ice . Followed the music as it seeped in around us down here in the South.
As time went by I started singing and performing in public. When I graduated I kinda fell into rapping. I started freestyling with a friend as a joke and I really began to like it. Within a few months I was less worried about hustlin certain "products" and more concerned with writing songs so I could let the world hear MY music.
For the last 8 years I have been submerging myself into the culture. In 2001 I went to my first Under the Ground show which included all of the hip hop elements. In 2003 I participated in my first rap battle. Around 2002 I began toying with recording but in 2004 I had com pleted a solo album at home, a much improved group mixtape, and my first group studio album.
Most of my recordings are done at home in an extra room I call the "studio", but I really am interested in learning all aspects of recording including engineering. I have had to do all of my mixing on the home recording side and still have a ways to go but have no mentor.
In 2001 I started my own independent record label and called it NodYaHead Entertainment. The first group I signed was DreamTeam who joined 2003. DreamTeam consists of myself, Killa B, and Lil.. Trip. We have an album called No Turning Back and a mixtape labeled Puttin in Work.
I am currently working on my first sellable mixtape and will also begin recording my first solo studio album within the next few months.
I have done many performances in my local area of central Arkansas from freestyle to battle. I have also performed with a few local punk bands mainly the Crisco Kids.
