.... .. .. .. .......... .......... .......... .......... .......... .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .......... .......... .......... .......... .......... .. .. .... .. .... .. .. .. .. .......... .......... .......... .......... .......... .......... .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. ....Mike V - Elements.. by ..MikeV.... .. 9 Years ago Mike V fell out of the sky and landed in front of a set of turntables. This bold entrance set the tone for a studious apprenticeship where he developed his craft and in 2006 made two impressive first steps to expanding into the local circuit. The first: a finalist in a DJ competition and securing a spot at Pharmacy. The second; clinching a warm up set for renowned trance internationals Kyau & Albert, and again warming up for them late 2008. .... 2007 was a watershed year for Mike V. He played at three Pharmacy parties and gained residency at the ever popular Oxygen (Incline events). DJ’d at Gods Kitchen, Chemistry and supported the number one DJ at the time, Paul Van Dyk, whilst playing many radio spots and gaining popular support with help of his sensation podcast. .... With that foundation Mike partnered up with long time local trance DJ, Kurt Erickson to form the partnership Kovak. This pushed them to further the experience that entertains crowds through the genres house, progressive and techno. The duo had found themselves playing an odd back to back set mid 2007 and discovered a mutual passion and connection behind the wheels. Kovak would ride off the wave of the Phonic Sessions radio show and create a self titled podcast which today is gaining popularity locally and worldwide. .... Mike V has a keen ear for good music and distinctive sound is always happy to showcase his breadth of experience with the ability to play trance, progressive or techno sets with ease. A name synonymous for playing the best vocal progressive trance in Auckland after a whirlwind 2008 and countless memorable sets the future is promising, a DJ who will have you on the floor before you realise it yourself. .... --- written by Daniel McConnell.. http://youneedtoreadthisstuff.blogspot.com ....
