A bit of everything electronic really. I'm comin pretty much from a breakz perspective, in that all my tunes will have a phat beat to them. What fits in around the beat is quite varied. It could be in a trip-hop stylee, an IDM fashion, or some dutty breakbeat. I love anything with energy really, whether that be a chilled out warmness, or stomping ragefest. I'm a breakz producer and dj, specialising in the "Tearout" sound pioneered by the Hardcore Beats collective. Basically the tearout souond is where its at as far as I'm concerned. Raw, gritty, grimey, phat and phunky... as all good dance music should be in my opinion. I've just had a tune come out on 36th Chamber recordings. It's a stompy breaks remix of "Make Em Bleed" by Dj Vapour and peeps in the DnB world have seemed to like it so I'm hoping the same vibes will be felt by the breaks hedz.
As well as producing, I'm currently working with 3PartsDj on a project called Thump. Thump's main objective is to make breaks a force to be reckoned with in our area hopefully take it to other areas as time goes on. I dj at nearly all the Thump events, including the very successful Beat Clinic nights at Cuba in Newbury, Berkshire. I also play alongside other promoters in the area such as the almighty 36th Chamber, Carnage, Tandava (psy-trance) and the odd Deviant Soundsystem reunion.
Previous to this I was co-running a free-party rig, known as Deviant. We played across the South/South West and had at maximum 14k worth of sound force, which made the tekno we were playing sound lush. I Dj'd tekno with them during the night, but would always slip in some breakz in the morning for people to get down to (if I wasn't too hammered by then).
That's about all from me. Just remember, keepin it real means just that... don't be fooled into thinking that how many possessions you own is what defines you.
P.S. Say no to bling, it don't mean a thing!!
