Mikey's influence will carry on forever. He touched many around the world. His bass tone is part of my brain waves, a cornerstone of my youth and my development as a player. He was simply devastating! Thanks again for bein' here, hanging out, and for all the bad ass shows. You will be missed.

I recieved this from Mikey's niece today
The family has decided not to have a formal memorial service for Mikey. We will be burying his ashes on Friday at 3pm at Forest Oaks cementary off WM Cannon Road. You and anyone else that might like to attend are welcome. I will put an obit in the news paper there and here in killeen.
I wake up each day, and my first thought is "Damn, he's STILL dead." I don't know when I'll ever come to terms with this. As Marvin would say, "I see your picture, hanging on the wall/ But it can't speak and it won't come/ When I call your name..."
You were always like family to us Mikey, we love you as a brother and a true friend. You will live forever in our hearts and in the spirit of resistance worldwide. Now you are free from this world, dear comrade.
Bad Luck: We all meet you again Mikey but I would prefer San Francisco. Here you "safed" me for an car accident: And this picture I just stole for us all: Mikey Offender, Gary Floyd of The Dicks & Sister Double Happiness, Henry Rollins, and Mr. Bisquit of The Big Boys
Sure gonna miss you Mikey... Never got that hot sauce I sent ya either! The time we all spent will always be dear to my heart! Hard not to think of you right now.... Rest in Peace my friend Leasa Catera and Mikee Rat
