things i learned watching A&E's The Rise and Fall of the Jewish Mobster
1. Meyer Lanksy and Frank Costello invented "the spread" in gambling
2. the only murder Al Capone actually committed was revenge for someone slapping around his jewish accountant
3. the purple gang as in "the whole rhythm section was the purple gang", was jewish bootleggers in Detroit.
4. one of the only mobsters ever to be executed by the government was jewish.
go check that show out, it was freakin' fantastic! plus you know bill kurtis is the host.
