I am Mikhail's Eyepatch. I have been with Mikhail a very long time. As far as how I came to be a part of his life as his right eye went missing, well, you will have to ask Mikhail to tell you that story...
We grew up in Kiev and joined the Soviet Army. We were stationed at a listening post at Vladivostok. After the Cold War, after we lost the Cold War, our unit was decommissioned. We were dismissed from our life in the military. And after years of conducting unpleasant actions against our enemies, we found ourselves wanting to do something good. So we replied to a newspaper advertisement.
'Would you like to save the world?' it read. That's how we met them, the Initiative. They're very secretive, very rich, very smart.
11 years now, we have been on this Island. We like computers, communications equipment, being alone like a lighthouse keeper. So they put us in a station called The Flame, where we had lived with our faithful cat Nadia ever since.
That is, until they came to visit, and exploded the station and all of our possessions inside!
Then they tried to kill us...they have beat us, we have been lied to and conned...
But we will be back. We always come back...
