Miko is an eclectic artist: musician, dj, producer, song writer, designer. He was born in Milano in Italy but when he was twenty he moved to London where is currently living. He has been involved in music for many years, initially playing as a composer, guitarist, second singer in live rock-funk-pop bands, always performing original material; then, after moving to London, as a dj and producer, integrating the electronic side of music.
London played an important part for his interest in electronic dance music and the whole club scene. From there on, he is exploring the electronic digital era in music, while keeping strong interests in the "live band" side of music, ultimately making the two join together.
From September 2005 Miko decided to dedicate to music on a serious level. From there on he is started to produce and he will have his first release out the 25th August 2008 on Indalo Rec.. His musical language is in continuous development, and new tracks are on its roast to come out in the near future.
As a dj he started a bit later in January 2006. Since he is started in a very crucial time for djing and since he believes in progress and the power of technology he decided to start his dj journey using laptops, which according to his opinion will be the future platform for dj performances together with controllers devices. Digital djing with the use of laptop and controllers open up infinite possibilities and the idea of being part of this new technological movement is core part of his present musical journey, since he believes we need progress and people committed to it in order to move forward, and push the boundaries of djing and life in general.
He is currently hosting a monthly residency called Stand Out at the Whipping House in Cable Street Studios in London. With his night he is committed to promote established and new upcoming artist from Europe and rest of the World.
Miko music styles range from minimal, electro, tech, deep house, breaks, tribal, with a percussive , deep and dark feel. Melodic fills blend together, creating tensions between deep and dark sounds, and airy melodic fills. Black music genres such as: Funk, Hip Hop, R n B, Dancehall, Raggae, Dub, Jazz, latin jazz, (ethnic music) have always interested him. Brit and Usa Rock are other styles he likes, together with Pop music.
During his travels he played in London (Cafe 1001, Rhythm Factory, Whipping House, house and squat parties), New York (Warper Party, and Rubalad Party in Brooklyn) , Mexico (Nikki Beach and Z Lounge in Puerto Vallarta), Milano (Crude Elektro after party, Box Vision sound system, house and squat parties), Paris (private parties).
For Miko music has always been his passion and fun, even though lately he started to see higher means in it. He believes in music as powerful vehicle to deliver messages to people, and especially to gain exposure to then enhance rising of awareness among the critical mass.
As we all know the world is in real danger under a constant threat of total mind, social, political, economical control. He believes that in order to defeat the evil agenda of those who are in power we need to get together and help each other to rise awareness among the critical mass, in order to save our world, and transform it into a better place.
Truth has been hidden from us for a long time. Now it is time to rise together and make this change, for ourselves and for future generations.
Music is a vehicle that will help this transformation, both on conscious and unconscious levels.
And the journey continues.
Peace in da planet.

Hello all, this will be our final release of 2009, and a great way to end the year... Pinklogik asked 10 artists and friends to remix her entire "Learning To Trust Higher Frequencies" album and what an eclectic and stunningly produced work this is. Each track has its own feel, thanks to the diverse range of artists involved in the project. A shimmering journey through ambient colours, broken beats, sweet melodies, a little bit of quantum physics, and is one hell of a trip....

BMM 33 Tantrum Light LSD Island EP with the remixes of Paul Hunter, Da Trash & Zimaleto Genre: Minimal, Techno, Tech-House.
Some comments: Carsten Rausch: The Da Trash Remix is a cool piece of percussive Techno. I will definetely play that. Dave James: Yeh I like the original trippy vocals. Marc Fuccio (Fresh DJS): Favoutite mix is Paul Hunter remix. Wicked groove of a bass line that instantly got me to my feet. Great production and construction. Adviruz is the artist psedonym of Istanbul’s Pinar Gurcan, whose growing passion for sound is translated through her music. Since an early age, she has been listening and mimicking opera singers, writing melodies, songs and poems in which she spoke her mind and reflected her soul. All of which are evident on "Nightly Sounds", an 8 track album which is the equivilent of having a glimpse into a diary, learning of love lost, gained, a snapshot of the human condition from which we can all draw experience... All of these things are developed musically into minimalistic glitch, noise, idm, experimental music and microsounds, its influences reminiscent of work by artists like Tujiko Noriko, Mira Calix, Plaid and Björk.
Adviruz and Section 27 present "Nightly Sounds", an intricately woven and rewarding musical tapestry. Available now for free download.
