Drummers, songwriters, instrumentalists, and thinkers from a whole slew of genres.
My drumming is most heavily influenced by Billy Martin of MMW, Jon Theodore of The Mars Volta, Dave King of The Bad Plus, Joey Kramer of Aerosmith, and of course John Bonham of Led Zeppelin.
My songwriting draws from Secret Machines, Duncan Sheik, love, life, friends, and family...that sort of stuff.

HITT MUSIC GROUP, 2008:
"At the tender age of seventeen, Miles Arntzen is already honing his skills as a talented musician, who has a supreme love for playing, listening, discovering and learning various genres of music. Influenced by industry greats who range from Incubus and Secret Machines, to Dave Grohl of The Foo Fighters and Jaco Pastorius, alike, Arntzen has created a musical blend of his very own; one that he likes to refer to as ‘Genre Soup’. Being born and raised in Greenwich Village, located in New York City, Arntzen has always been saturated in the arts. As a musician, Arntzen has been playing the drums for the past eleven years, and lends his drumming skills to various performances that are staged at Sullivan Hall, as well as The Cornelia Street Café, alongside his fathers jazz band. With the confidence to share his own original music, brewing over the past two years, Arntzen creates songs with the intentions of enveloping his listeners into an intimate, thought provoking space. Arntzen prides himself on delivering a quality of music that clues the world in on the fact that he is a dedicated artist, whose compilations are an extension of his character and evolving spirit.
Already, Miles Arntzen has recorded two, full fledged demos, Lido and City Songs. City Songs is the more recent project, as the quality of the albums sound, as well as the evolution of the lyrical content, in comparison to Lido, is more sophisticated. City Songs has become the staple of Arntzen’s career at this point, for the track is set to go live on iTunes. Arntzen presently has two live recordings to his credit, as he has contributed to his family jazz band called, 3 Generations. Both projects were produced and manufactured in Canada. As Arntzen continues to contribute his musical talents to such groups as The Fuzz and 3 Generations, he ultimately wishes to dedicate his entire life to the art form. Arntzen enjoys crossing the borderlines that classify genres, for his future shall be dedicated to delivering music that stems from the Heart and Soul of his being and experiences."
The recordings on this website are written, performed, and recorded entirely by Miles Arntzen. Miles' "City Songs" is available now, and his early demo "Lido" is on iTunes.
