Miles Junior is a talented DJ/Producer/Label co-owner from Melbourne,
Who over the past few years has been working his way up the ranks as one of Melbourne’s favourite DJ’s. At only 22 years of age, Miles has accomplished so much in his career beyond his years.
At the age of 13, Miles began listening to house, progressive house, and many other dance genre’s, where he developed a taste fro artists such as Deep Dish, Paul Oakenfold, Sasha and Digweed to name a few. Miles started Djing professionally at the age of 18 where he started spinning at Boutique Nightclub each Thursday Night
Many will know Miles as the one half of the successful Due: Disco Mafia.
Disco Mafia kicked off their newly formed partnership in 2007 at the Winter Music Conference (WMC) in Miami playing alongside some of the top DJ’s in the world. The dynamic duo’s productions, bootlegs and re-edits, have been supported by some of the world’s best DJ’s including Jesse Garcia, Dj Noir, Roger Sanchez and more.
Miles’ amazing DJing skills, landed him a residency with the onelove group and he plays various nights all over Australia. Not only does he play nationally but he has also DJ’d in Europe and has played in Miami for the (WMC) in 2007 and 2008.
Miles’ debut production was the remix of ‘Hands Up’ by Jesse Garcia.
It hit number 2 on www.djdownload.com and as a result was included on the 2007 housexy compilation for Ministry of Sound UK. Some other production by Miles were also signed to the Onelove label for Australia and remix’s for various labels including: Eric Powell’s (formerly Bush records, UK) new label.
The next step for Miles was to become a co-owner of international records label Safari Music. Launched in Miami 2007 the label has taken off like a rocket and is receiving interest from major labels worldwide. It features releases from various Australian and internationally artists and is avalible on the top 100 digital download sites from around the world. Safari released the current smash hit ‘Show me Love’- Mobin Master featuring Karina Chavez. Show me Love went Top 10 in the ARIA Club Chart and was featured on the gold selling onelove (Mobile Disco) CD release. Disco Mafia were on mixing duties of disc 1 (Midnight) alongside Kaz James and Acid Jacks.
Miles Has the ability to play an eclectic arrangement of music and can play in any room regarless of the style of music.
