About me:

For about ten years I have been painting and drawing at events with live musicians and /or dancers. I have spent many years in Aspen, Co. creating in the clubs night after night. Now in Charlotte, NC I have been working with a collection of local and national acts in the region. I have performed my art with musicians at: Double Door, Niegborhood Theater, Visualite Theater, Smokey Joes, Area 15, The Milestone, Jeff's Bucket Shop, S&K Cafe, Sky Lounge, Joe's Raw Bar, Brick Top, Fairview Bar and Grill, Lava Java, The Spot on Pecan, Jazz Cafe, ectra. I have performed with: Bellyfull, Maplestaves, Three legged Dawg, Solos, Deformati, Incognito Mosquito, Heywire, Patch of Grass, Alien Intergalatic Brotherhood, The Humans, Flash Back Mary, Wavy Train, Slick Shift, Mind Elixer, Psyidelic Disco, DJ Aurura, DJ Analysis, Debree, Audioform, The Funk, Maze, OK Wig, U-phonic,Sam Fisher,The Loft,Mons Venera, Chris Givens,Uber-Dose, The Situationals, Emotron, Strut, Psycle, Holster, Hunter's Travesty, and Hell Yea. Other performances @ Milestone with: Jimie and the Teasers, Billy Joe Winghead, A DJ ?, SlickShift, Solo Reclamation Show prelude 1 and 2. A whole series of hip hop acts. Part of summer 2005 I performed with wide variety of musicians during Tripp Rodger's Accoustic Showdown @ the Nieghborhood Theater. I had a large walk way strip which was at the stage. I set up all along the lenght ( 9-18 feet long and pretty wide. I was right with the musicians on stage while drawing. I have been creating live art and involved in Area 15 on 15th street and North Davidson street. NoDa is the art district of Charlotte, NC. I have places that I create art in Charlotte from varrious locations such as the cafes and venues in Charlotte. The work which is created at venues only represents part of the art. Vist www.youtube.com/milesliveart As my understanding of live art shows has been expanding, new roles have been opening up for me, taxing me, and causing new growth. The role as a producer, co-producer, promoter, and artist of shows. This has also taken a new formate because of a sponsorship from Z-Axis TV to produce segments for TV broadcast on channel 21 with plan to produce monthly segment releases to You Tube. As of April most of my shows have become video taped and they are slowly being procesed into short segments of interviews with creators ( interview with Joshua and T.J. Reddy )and performance segments (Deformati, Pscycle, Audioform, the Situationals). I currently shoot with two camcorders. These segments are going to be released in relationship with Channel 21, Artists Helping Artists @ Area 15, and Studio 505, and plan for You Tube are in the works. Artists Helping Artist is a dynamic group dedicated to the growth and expansion of the world of creators. Channel 21 is a great local network of which Z-axis has been a part for years. Over the course of the summer Z-Axis has been releasing my video production onto broadcast TV. YouTube is a fast paced visual formate for the masses. Freedownloads. All these pieces are for my documentry work, images and song of our culture. My video releases are interviews with regonal creators. The video work shows Miles creating art: live, on stage, at performances, at video shoots, and during home sessions with musicians. The art work from these shows are being developed into products and are availible from me by appointment. From my stage work I create mostly charcoal on French cotton, and acrylic on French cotton or canvas. Prices varry, at music and art shows. Studio 505 is the moniker of my production work.
