Miles Midnight is a pop music project that formed in the Fall of 2006. Songwriter, Sean Gaiser, was anxious to get a new musical project underway after his touring band of eight years recently split. Rapper/Producer, Matt "Chew" Corrado, was anxious to get out of his bedroom and take a stab at producing a record with more than just a laptop, a mixer, and a mic. Professional athlete, Billy Glading, was anxious to make use of the 5 notebooks he had filled with lyrics to non-existent songs.
Sean reconnected with his old friend Chew at a bar. Sean reconnected with his old friend Billy at a pickup basketball game.
For about a year, Sean and Billy worked from 10 PM - 4 AM on Tuesday nights writing stripped down acoustic demo songs. These works were spawn of Sean's unfinished guitar jams and Billy's collected words.
For about a year, Sean and Chew worked from 10 PM - 4 AM on Wednesday nights producing lush musical landscapes for these demos. Sean played instruments. Chew programmed beats and crafted electronic tones.
For about a year, with Sean as a go-between, Chew and Billy finished each others' work while refusing to meet each other in person. If it ain't broke...
All three members of Miles Midnight now work as a group. They get together a few nights a week to write and produce music together. They encourage you to listen to it.
