My name is Douglas Hilty, I'm the drummer for the music you hear from above!! I started taking private piano lessons whe I was 5.... Mostly because my brother took them. At the age of nine, he switched to guitar, and I decided that drums were cool! By the time I was 13, I was First chair and section leader of drummers in the Junior High! By Sophmore year in high school, I was in charge of the entire drum section, and was playing in the college jazz band! Having earned my degree in music from a major univeristy, I set out on the road for fame and fourtune as a rock drummer! I played jazz drums in a band called "Elbow Room" at the same time I was playing "ROCK DRUMS, in the Orange County area of southern California, that spit out such bands as Van Halen, and the DOORS! I played in several bands at the same time and had kinda taken up residence at the recording studio, that did all the on-air logos for the biggest rock stations in Los Angeles. Let me tell you about this fucker! In 1992 I drug doug to the Grateful Dead shows. During which they broke out with a terripan station to die for. When they did, I turned to doug and said "dude, your lucky day, you are gonna love this.. this is terripan station!" so on they played. I heard Jerry singing and suddenly I hear it from behind!! I turn and DOUG is word for word, singing this fuckin song I had no clue he had even ever heard!! Only guy I know to adagadalavida or what ever that some is from iron butterfly is.
