Influences
From Bob Marley to Janes Addiction to Marvin Gaye to Led Zep to Ben Harper to Radiohead to Elvis Costello to the Beatles and everything in between, even some bluegrass and country roots in there. BTW, I am naked and thinking about you right now... jk. I am fully clothed, most likely, but I might be thinking about you... Does btw mean what I think it does?
Sounds Like
lot of rock, motown, jazz, and blues influence mashed together with a pop spatula then sprinkled with a tinge of folk/acoustic stuff and some country or bluegrass stuff. Served with a side of face melting... oh yeah.
Formed at the end of 2006 (in recent form) Milgram's 27 (M27 fer short) brings together a mixture of influences from rock, reggae, jazz, pop, and soul. Covers range from the 50's to the present and include Bob Marley, Coldplay, Ben Harper, Marvin Gaye, Violent Femmes, Van Morrison, the Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, Elvis Costello, Hank Sr., maybe even some Bon Jovi (We can all just really relate to that Jon Bon Jovi and the lyrical and songwriting genius that he has become! though, I think Rob just likes his chest hair:-), etc. Songwriting style is just a combination of all these influences with a tendency for silly social commentary and serious... well there's nothing really serious. Just a few guys that like to make music, or noise (you say toe mae toe I say ta mot oh), shoot the bull (Literally we’re bull hunters, though Todd retired last year after a bull with a bullet proof vest stuck a horn... well there are some things you just shouldn't discuss on a myspace page :-), and have a good time. Thanks for checking in on us,
JAS
ps I was just joking about Rob liking Bon Jovi's chest hair, but Todd really did take a horn in the ass from a bull jk:-0 :-) :-( :-l ... sorry sometimes i just get emotional when I type.
