Sounds Like
Their sound can be described as the combination of raw, guitar-driven rock, tribal and Latin rhythms and emotional songwriting. The result is intense, melodic and meaningful and has been compared to many diverse bands such as Led Zepplin, Soundgarden, Collective Soul, A Perfect Circle, STP, Incubus, and QOTSA.
Milhouse is an established regional act that fuses many musical styles into its own unique style of alternative rock that has landed them as an Austin's WB Buzz Band and as regular performers on Austin's famed 6th Street. They have played showcases for Sony and Hollywood Records during the South By Southwest music festival. Milhouse is also taking their original blend of alternative-rock, metal, and jam band sounds to towns across Texas in support of their CD entitled "Drive" which was released in early 2005. The debut and the new CD were both produced by Rick Del Castillo, voted Austin's Best Producer of 2003, and feature tracks recorded with members of the latin band, Del Castillo. The CD "Drive" will soon be re-release under the Waking Dream indie record label and will be available on online wordwide and available for order in stores nationwide. Milhouse has showcased their music in such famous Austin venues as Flamingo Cantina, The Back Room, The Vibe, The Red Eyed Fly, Maggie Mae's, Anton'es and The Hard Rock Cafe. Since the band formed, they have played regularly in their hometown of Austin, TX and have opened for such touring acts as Pushmonkey, Bob Schneider, Junior, Planet X and Flickerstick.
