"80.39 was first released by the label Robortiot in 2004. In the waiting
for Militant Fields debut album to be released this summer, Hwem are
now re-releasing his 80.39 EP together with remixes from Dead Letters
Spell Out Dead Words, We Were Dancing and Militant Fields himself.
80.39 has been described as a hiccup of the Eraserhead soundtrack. Slow
panning soundscapes inhales and exhales. Rumbling noise tells stories
of unhappy times."
About:
Militant Fields combines field recordings, various instruments, effects
and feedback in a spectacular and emotive way. Drones mixed with
rumbling noise conjure up dark and sad little soundscapes.
Militant Fields is Tobias Åström-artist and sound activist, born in
1983 and for the moment located in Lund, Sweden. Tobias is active
in the ever changing drone-pop experiment Sekvens together with
Martin Herterich. He also participate in some versions of the
international super group Critikal (with Andrey
Kiritchenko, Jeff Surak and Dmytro Fedorenko) and runs the
new found net-label Hwem.

Nja, det gick sådär, karin kunde inte komma ner så jag ringde en klasskompis som ställde upp på gitarr (fast hon hade inte spelat på flera år) och en kompis jag träffade på blekingska nationen veckan innan kom över och repade in lite kör så det blev väldigt sporadiskt och spontant, men det var väldigt kul. inte bäst spelningen, med ljud och så men ändå. Ja det var synd att ni inte dök upp! Jag tänkte höra om du jobbar på onsdag och om du kan ta med min nyckel i så fall? Jag har hyrt ut i andra hand nu men hon har inte fått båda nycklarna. så vore shysst!
