"Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has. Margaret Mead.** We Post A LOT of Daily Bulletins! **"
About me:
Military life as a military spouse is becoming increasing difficult, but it doesn't have to be this difficult. We can dramatically improve our lives and Military Spouses for Change (MSC) can help us do that.
Every year Congress appropriates money and makes decisions that determine (among other things) the quality of housing we live in, the places we can be assigned to, whether or not our husbands will be going overseas and under what conditions we can accompany them, the extent of our health care benefits, and the amount of support, recreation, and day-care services that will be offered on-post. And, let's not forget, this next Presidential election will determine how many more deployment cycles we will have to endure.
By contrast, civilian wives and spouses are not micromanaged by law-making the way we are in the military community. Every aspect of our lives are impacted by the decisions being made by the President and by Congress and those decisions are dynamic, ever-changing, and, most importantly, can be influenced.
You do not have to be politically active to join. Joining is a show of support for spouses who may be thinking about being more politically aware and involved.
Be informed. Be involved. Be inspired.
Be a military spouse for change!
