[ENG] On MiLK & Fruit Juice’s byway, at the bend of a song, one can pass such oddly matched characters as a ukulele, notes from a blue glockenspiel, the shadow of Nick Drake’s, Bright Eyes’, and The Magnetic Fields’ influences, a mandolin, or even percussions settling for a beat or two.
Nothing here is really what it seems or should be, because MiLK & Fruit Juice is an unlikely blend, when so many others shouldn’t work. And from this duality, comes an insistent music which makes you feel like keeping moving on those swinging tunes scattered path with soulful lyrics… listening to the ukulele as the starting point of an arabesque of pop folk melodies.
“Monkey EP” was released from the path in the summer of 2007, then followed by a first album, “Nobody Listens to Silent People”, since September 2008.
We're having this show next week, and after the competition we'll focus on writing more music, to be able to record an album in January. That's all I know for now :)
15°C, that's sweet. It's barely that warm inside the houses here, haha. Got to be nice to get back to a warmer place! You'll eventually stop melting, but hopefully never start freezing.
I've actually never been to Paris, so I'd love to go there sometime. I promise to tell you about it the day I do :)
Hey there! Thank you, it was very fun meeting you as well. Hope you enjoyed Sweden!
The gig went pretty well, we need to practise more for next weeks show though, hehe. But yea, it was much fun! It's lovely when you see a lot of people supporting you.
