Milkman Daddy is a 5 man rock band from the suburbs of Kansas City, Missouri. We have had the current line-up for about 6 years and have played shows at some great venues like the Beaumont Club, Davey's Uptown, the Hurricane, and recently the Blue Moon.
We got the name of our band from former guitarist Kevin Sullivan who wanted to call the band "Daddy Was A Milkman". We shortened it to Milkman Daddy and the band really got its' sound when guitarists Andy Oxman (owner of Soundworks Studio in Blue Springs, Mo) and Kenny Marshall joined the core group of Rick Hearron on bass, Pat Higbee on drums , and singer/songwriter/rhythm guitarist Tim Covey.
Tim writes the songs but the other members make them sound so good.We have influences from the Beatles, Bob Dylan , the Band , Counting Crows , the Rolling Stones , Van Morrison , as well as Americana , Blues , and Old Country. We are trying to do music the old-fashioned way , songs that make you feel good and want to listen to again and again.
We hope you enjoy this sample of our music and tell your friends.Remember , Milkman Daddy does a body good.
