Biografia:
Primi mesi del 2009. Due ragazze e due ragazzi si incontrano e danno vita ai “Milk White”, band tutta nuova che utilizza però il nome del progetto portato avanti in precedenza dalla sola front-woman Black Feather (Erika). Subito (Gennaio 2009) danno alle stampe un EP intitolato “Prague”, cd di 5 brani con una doppia versione della title track, curata e mixata da Paolo Mauri (producer storico degli Afterhours e di tanti altri gruppi della scena “alternative” italiana). Partecipano a quattro concorsi giungendo alle fasi finali di tutti e quattro, avendo ovunque buon riscontro di pubblico e di critica (fatta unica eccezione del sito NerdsAttack che li ha definiti una delle 5 peggiori band nel mondo). Nonostante ciò risultano vincitori del Sotterranea Rock Festival di San Benedetto del Tronto (con conseguente intervista di Rai 3). Diverse volte saranno poi ospiti di network locali, mentre sul web verranno selezionati come realtà interessante sia dal noto sito di NME che dall’homepage di MySpace, dove al momento sono quarti nella classifica assoluta delle band “Garage” (pur non essendo dei puristi del genere). Scelti anche da QOOB TV (la Digital Factory di MTV) raggiungono la vetta della Top 100 assoluta del sito, risultando inoltre: band più votata di sempre, song più ascoltata del mese (giugno 2009), song più votata del mese (giugno 2009), seconda band più ascoltata dell’anno. In pochi mesi, riescono a crearsi un’attività live costante che tocca spesso anche l'estero (al momento: Francia, Belgio e Olanda). Tante le aperture a band importanti del panorama italiano ed internazionale. Su tutte ricordiamo l’apertura ai GLASVEGAS nel bel sold out del Circolo degli Artisti di Roma. Gratificante anche il riscontro da parte dell’Inghilterra e gli Stati Uniti (dove sono in rotazione su diversi network tra cui ci piace ricordare Radio Volta di Philadelphia, arrivata a loro prima di tutti). Di recente si sono distinti anche allo Stereolab Festival di Mercato San Severino (SA) dove hanno vinto i premi per il miglior brano inedito e la migliore presenza scenica "on stage", oltre al premio vinto dal nostro drummer come miglior batterista della manifestazione. Hanno da pochissimo (settembre '09) presentato sul sito di QOOB TV il singolo “She’s so drunk” registrato e co-prodotto con i Velvet che ha in brevissimo conquistato la seconda posizione nella Top100 del sito oltre ad essere stata la track più votata del mese. Il 4 dicembre presenteranno presso il Traffic di Roma il loro primo video "Western Ballad" prodotto da V-Idea. Attualmente sono in cerca di Management, Label e Agenzia Booking che possano dare ulteriore supporto alle attività della band (fare tutto da soli sta cominciando ad essere davvero stressante).




Biography:
Early 2009. Two girls and two boys met and create the”Milk White”, a brand new band which takes the name from the front-woman Black Feather (Erika) old solo project. They immediately (January ’08) released a 5 tracks EP called “Prague” which includes a double version of the title track, mixed by Paolo Mauri (Afterhours and a lot more Italian alternative bands master producer). They played 4 contests, reaching the final steps of them all. They have a good feedback from people and press (except for Nerds Attack website who defined Milk White as the 5th worst band ever). Notwithstanding that it seems like they won an important Italian Contest “Sotteranea Rock Festival” (with a following interview in a public television). Milk White were the guests in some local network and they were also selected on the web as an interesting band by NME and Myspace homepage: even if we wouldn’t define a pure garage band, at the moment we are at 4th place in the genre chart. They were also selected by QOOB TV (MTV digital factory) and reached the 1st place in the most voted songs ever (june 2009). In few months, they get a constant live activity, loads of gigs with important head liners like the GLASVEGAS that was a great sold out show! Soon there will be an official video produced by V-idea and first gigs abroad (France, Holland and Belgium). Great feedback from UK and US (they are played in different network, we love to remember Radio Volta). Milk White have recently being appreciated also at the Stereolab Festival(south Italy) winning the best song and best performance awards and Gianni was awarded as the best drummer. In the last few days(september '09) they released on QOOBTV "She's so drunk" a new single co-produced by the Velvet . Lately they’re looking for a label, a management and booking agency to have more hold and a worthy discographic debut.
