MySpace Contact Tables from MySpace Editor. Millenovecento is a quartet that began from the human and musical feeling between Nico Gori and Stefano Onorati. Their collaboration covers various formations: ranging from Duo right up to Big Bands. The creation of this group is therefore a consequence of their course, going beyond a simple and sporadic collaboration.
Together they approached various musical styles but quickly discovered that their musical direction was always imbued with the same motivations, as well as an identical love for experimentation.
Two great personalities joined them in this project: Franco Nesti and Ettore Fioravanti, musicians who add to the emotional impetus of the group.
The name “Millenovecento” (Twentieth century) sums up what the group expresses when playing. In fact the jazz language developed in the Twentieth century, from traditional to free jazz, passing from be-bop to more recent influences: the development of “contemporary” music, the “song”, the increasingly ethnic influences and all that they tell and teach on a spiritual level.
The musical organization of their repertoire is, however, not the prevailing factor. The strength of expression and the sound’s intensity push their music to explore new landscapes, seen from different views and heights, living the moment to the fullest, thanks to the great understanding between the musicians in their performances.
