About me:
I am a son, a father, a student, a teacher, a friend, a health/fitness nut, an educated gym rat, a combat veteran, and a positive evolutional force in a constant strive for progress.
I became a health, fitness and wellness professional due to being a heavy child and suffering all of the insecurities involved with it. Through out my lifetime I have been as heavy as 215 pounds of obesity and light as 137 pounds of competitive bodybuilding.
I started lifting weights at the age of 13 and suffered some injuries due to improper techniques that also prompted the interest of learning more about health and fitness. Other long term motivational factors are a first line family history of my father who had a minor heart attack before the age of 55 and mother who was diagnosed as a diabetic before the age of 60.
My areas of specialization are in: Weight Management, Off-Season Athletes, Youth Fitness, Corporate Wellness and Special Populations. I hold a very strong center of gravitation towards helping people; as well as, in health and fitness, so it only made sense to become a health and fitness professional. I also take great pride in being a role model for my nine year old son as a single parent.
My current goals are to complete a Doctorate in Public Health starting in December 2008 then compete in at least one bodybuilding contest every two years after the completion of the terminal degree.

Help support our troops by visiting the Military Troops Calendar Myspace page (on my top friends), www. militarytroopscalendar. com or my Myspace page and click the Paypal button. Proceeds go to the Fisher House, Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund and allow us to send the calendars to the troops serving overseas free of charge to thank them for their service to our country. Our goal is to send 17,000 overseas within the next couple weeks. Thank you for your support!
We're hiring - if you need a job read our blog!

Dear Friend,
More than half a million veterans and active soldiers suffer from PTSD, and their path towards restoration and recovery will be extremely difficult and one that I'm extremely familiar with. After coming back from Vietnam in 1970, I spent the past 30 years on an oftentimes rocky journey to restoration from PTSD.
As a director, writer and actor, I created the film Soldier's Heart, the winner of this year's GI Film Festival, as a way to help myself and other veterans begin their healing process.
Our hope is that Soldier’s Heart will help those who are currently touched by PTSD or have loved ones who are impacted, gain some insight into finding their own restoration.
To reach more people in need and give back to the community, we have FREE ONLINE SCREENING for a limited time: www. restoreoursoldiers. com/online. asp
If the movie touches or resonates with you, please share our link with your friends and family.
Write to us at letters@restoreoursoldiers.com to share your experiences.
Thank you for your help, hope you enjoy our movie. Respectfully – Brian Delate
