Influenced by electronic and synthetic textures of dj-cultrure, Miloopa keeps the shape of the audio-visual collective and has developed it’s sound towards a unique live and electronic mix.
UNICODE is the band's second release. It's produced by Roli Mosimann , who’s taken the credits for engineering and producing artists such as Faith No More ("Album Of The Year"), The Young Gods, The The, Bjork, Smashing Pumpkins, JoJo Mayer & Nerve, Einstuerzend Neubauten, New Order, The Swans and many others. Guest appearences on the album inlcude Tom Fronza on didgeridoo and Ganesh Anandan on percussion and throat singing.
UNICODE serves a rich palette of sounds and genres from live Breakbeat, Drum’n’bass, Jungle, Dubstep to Soul and Downtempo moods. Just after Polish release on 1st April 2008, Miloopa went on tour playing shows in Germany, UK and France.
Miloopa doesn’t put a limit on the creativity – that could have been already heard on band’s various releases : the 2005 debut album Nutrition Facts includes guest vocals by mc Blu Rum 13 (Dj Vadim, Kid Koala, Luke Vibert) and Miloopa’s tasty 2006 EP release Come’n’get is definitely a collectors item – 5“ cd was packed in a real meat-can!!!
