Milo and the Syndicates: DooWop, Scat Vox and Soul
Influences
Sick Of It All, Agnostic Front, DKM, Minor Threat, NOFX, Blood For Blood, Converge, old school Metallica, Motorhead, Anthrax, Fingerbang, Bad Religion, Bad Brains, Bad Drugs, Social D, Sweet Vagina, Hatebreed, Pantera, and a dash of Satan.
We also pull influences from the bullshit that is the American government, the fucked up society we live in, and personal experiences.
Sounds Like
5 really pissed off guys that like to cause a ruckus and probably drink too much.
Quote of the week: "We wish we could put ourselves in our top friends list...we're great." -Milo's Syndicate
Milo's Syndicate has a constant, satisfying rumble, like a well-oiled muscle car, never slipping up despite all the beer pooling on stage. Their sound is thick East Coast hardcore, calling to mind the best of Blood for Blood and Sick of it All (who they properly covered) without seeming like a knock-off of anything – Boston Phoenix
Breathing new life into Boston Hardcore, Milo’s Syndicate has earned a place alongside the city’s strongest in the punk and hardcore community. The band is moving forward and building upon the underground success of 2006’s “Futility in E Minor”.
The five-piece finished recording their 9 track release “Pull Me Through” in May of 2007, consisting of the bands most cohesive and driven musical effort to date. While continuing to address the political concerns of previous efforts, “Pull Me Through” also delves into a year of personal struggle. Employing that struggle as the driving force behind their songwriting, the band has created an album which moves at a furious pace, all without losing their characteristic tight, aggressive sound and breakdowns. Priding themselves on their ability to maintain that signature sound during raw live performances, Milo’s Syndicate plans to bring Hardcore back to the forefront of Boston’s music scene.
Any band/person that is interested in booking us for a show, please contact us through here OR milossyndicate@yahoo.com and we will gladly pay you back with a show of ours. Or we'll just drink all your beer and deafen the entire audience...either way.
Feel free to leave us comments as someone will personally get back to you...eventually. Feel free to send us messages as the same will apply. Thanks for stopping by San Diego and go fuck yourself.
Thanks for the add! We can handle all of your bands or clothing company's screen printing needs! Right now we have a summer blowout on orders of 100 tee's!
Hey guys, appreciate the comment, and I'm glad to hear the kit is working out for you.
If things weren't so busy and in such a "transition phase" at this point, I'd definitely come bash the skins for you. Alas, I can't at this time - but I wish you the best of luck in your pursuit for a drummer, and will let fellow drummer friends of mine know.
Furthermore, when I move into the area, I'm definitely up for jamming, hitting up shows, and throwing down brews.
If I had the time to play shows again, I would definitely try out for this band. My old band, Risk of Reality, played with these guys a few times, and they are amazing.
