Influences
The Milpitas Community Concert Band plays a wide variety of musical styles, from classical to jazz, and standard marches to contemporary works.
This includes the music of Grainger, Holst, Vaughn Williams, Grundman, Sousa, movie and show tunes, music originally written for orchestra, as well as arrangements by the many contemporary composers who are currently writing band literature.

The Milpitas Community Concert Band will begin its 17th season in September, 2009.
We are a true community band. We have young musicians who are in school and still learning to master their instruments… and retirees who are lending their seasoned musical skills and talents. We have members who have played professionally… and members who have been playing for 2-3 years. And we have members who played in high school or college and then took a break and are just picking up their instruments after 10, 20, or 30 years.
We perform 5-7 times a year. We rehearse at the Milpitas Community Center on Wednesday nights, 7-9pm, September thru June.
We are always looking for new members and invite you to join us!
