Some of you may know me, and some may be seeing and hearing my stuff for the first time. I've been producing beats for a decade, and recently have became friends with a crew called the LIVING LEGENDS and produced songs for them, my beats can be heard on any Luckyiam album, plus CMA with the Grouch, among others such as Pigeon John, and tons others. I also am a songwriter, performer, and have a new solo album on the way self titled. I'll keep you posted on the Mils album and some exciting guests!
I also sell beats to artist who are seriously interested in the hip hop/rap/experimental scene, as well as soundtracks, a producer for hire, and also will make all beats customizable, and do custom beats. Now for a little breakdown of where I come from:
From the depths of Cree Territory (Saskatchewan, CANADA), Mils has been capturing ears with his signature hip hop sounds since 1998. As a part of the Innersoulflow collective crew, he have created and appeared on countless releases throughout North America. In true fashion to the history of both hip hop and Indigenous Cree culture they represent through compelling and experimental storytelling beats and rhymes.
Part of the original crew was Mil's sister and since 04 Eekwol and Mils have won Best Hip Hop/Rap Album at the Canadian Aboriginal Music Awards for the “Apprentice to the Mystery” album which was fully produced by Mils, and were nominated in the same category at the Indian Summer Music Awards in 2005, and the Aboriginal Peoples’ Choice Music Awards in 2006. Their video for “Too Sick” has also been featured on Aboriginal Peoples’ Television Network, MTV Canada and Muchmusic and they have been featured in many well-distributed publications including Planet S, Eagle Feather News, Redwire Magazine, Windspeaker, Sage, SAY Magazine, SPIRIT Magazine and The Province out of Vancouver. The’ve also charted on many community radio stations across North America, including the “Top Ten Hip Hop Albums” on Chart Attack for March 2005 and have been doing well charting on college radio across Canada.
