Milvus is an instrumental band inspired by the rock avantgardes of the psychedelic movement.The very core ofthe Milvus project is a perpetual attempt to grasp the emotional and imaginative powers of rhythm andmelody, without any mediation of verbal language. A groovy trip without words.Based on original compositions and a great inclination to improvise, the Milvus showstrives to create a close contact between music and audience, letting the emotions spring out and change into a flow of musical colours.The Milvus project originates in 2005 by the union of three italian musicians, living at that time in Tuscany.They started in December 2005 with an amazing “inter-arts” show, Intenzione, made of music, video and installations interactions, that began their rise to acclaim in the art scene ofTuscany.After recording the first studio album, they performed in many live clubs, such as Borderline (Pisa), Macondo (Lucca),Lux Theater (Pisa).In 2006 they performed at the “MusicaLiberaArte” Festival, playing for the crowded “Alberica” square in Carrara.In the same year they engaged in the Milvus Street Tour, playing in several Italian squares.In 2007 at Rebeldia (Pisa), Milvus proposed a new Psychedelic Inter-Art show, called ImprovvisaMente, consisting of two days of video, sculpture artists, musicians, percussionists, buskers and actors.In March the band took part in the realization of the album “One Bass Change” with the eclectic bass player Fabio Di Tanno (www.myspace.com/fabioditanno)In August they participated in the Musicastrada Festival, playing on the same stage with international blues and world music bands.They have now relocated to Amsterdamto enjoy the psychedelic demands of Europe's liberal city.
