Bad Boy has created legends in the Midwestern rock scene for more than two decades. Founders Steve Grimm, John Marcelli, Joey LaVie, and Lars Hanson began their performance and songwriting careers in their teens as Crossfire. United Artists signed the band to a two album deal in 1977, but changed the name to Bad Boy, as the name Crossfire was already in use. Both albums, "The Band That Milwaukee Made Famous" and "Back To Back" reached the top 100 nationwide.
Xeno joined the band after his years with Cheap
Trick in the early 80's. Bad Boy released "Electric Eyes" and "Girl On The Run" on their own Streetwise and Legend labels which both received regional airplay with their singles Cheat On Me, Thunder and Lightning, and Midnight Love which drew national attention to the band once again.
Reforming in 1998 with new members Craig Evans and Scott Berendt to support "Best of Bad Boy" which offered the band's music for the first time on CD, and playing their 80's radio hits the band has been discovered and rediscovered by legions of loyal fans.
In 2002 with it's new foundation in place released "We Should've Been Dead By Now" containing all new material. One of the tracks on the release, "What are You Crazy?" reached 11 on the popular Garageband web site.
Bad Boy's glory years of the early 80's have been resurrected by constant new material and an amazing live show.
In March of 2005 Milwaukee's new radio station 97.3 The Brew held a special listener only show which featured Bad Boy. This was to show appreciation for making The Brew Milwaukee's 1 Radio Station by holding a "Private Party" for listeners at Milwaukee's premier music venue The Northern Lights Theater. This show captured the band playing the entire scope of their their career, playing material dating back to their first release. Bad Boy recorded this show for their new 2005 release "Live Northern Lights" which now offers fans the chance to capture the energy of their music live for the first time.
Bad Boy have played with acts such as Cheap Trick, Survivor, 38 Special, Ted Nugent, Night Ranger, Kansas, Angel, and Paul Rodgers at festivals, fairs and clubs throughout the Midwest.
Bad Boy has been inducted into the Wisconsin Area Music Industry
(WAMI) Hall of Fame, and performs for sell-out crowds on a continuing
basis.

Steve Grimm's latest CD - "Keep Your Dreams Alive" was nominated for a Wisconsin Area Music Industry (WAMI) award today. The honor adds to a long list of recognitions from the organization, including a 2003 induction into the WAMI Hall of Fame.
Keep Your Dreams Alive builds on his outstanding catalog of solo work.
