Interests

  • General

.. LOVE music, photography, horses, writing..."raindrops on roses" etc... Sunsets, Smokey Mts., SC Beaches. Charleston, SC. San Francisco...Blue water...Scotland...
  • Music

Rachmanninoff (Did I spell that right?) Especially "Variations on a theme by Paganini". Love learning to play Bach on piano with two melodies going at the same time; one with each hand. Almost anything by the Beatles, Ozzy "If I Close My Eyes Forever", Dianna Ross' versions of Billie Holiday songs especially "My Man" and "Good Morning Heartache". Anything played by Tommy Emmanuel on his Martin. Vince Gill's dead on the mark tenor. Kanye West "Jesus Walks" and "Gold Digger", "Saltwater" and "Changes" by Julian Lennon, some of Metalica, Coldplay, Beck, Soundgarden, Pearl Jam, Sting, Perry Como, Nat King Cole...The list is endless...
  • Movies

Most of Johnny Depp's movies...incredible amounts of talent there..."Cry Baby", "Gilbert Grape", "Edward Scissorshands", "Sleepy Hollow"...he's capable of doing such diverse characters. Antonio Bandaras and Angelina Jolie's "Original Sin". Roark's list of dark movies including "9 1/2 Weeks". "The Wizard of Oz", here we get into the classics and the list is always endless...
  • Television

The newer shows: "House", the first season of "Lost", "Keeping up Appearances" is a blast. Oldies are good sometimes, but not as a steady diet. I don't watch much tv really. About once a month I watch "Days of Our Lives" to keep up with it - I know, I know, you're never supposed to admit you keep up with a soap, but I've watched this since I had mono in high school...
  • Books

Anything by Ayn Rand but "The Fountainhead" had the most impact - read it in high school about the same time I read "Stranger in a Strange Land" which also fit with what I was thinking and feeling at the time. Recently the best sellers are what I've read "The DeVinci Code" ( Most of Dan Brown's books), "Bridges of Madison County" a while back...A book about the Caucasian mummies they've found in Northern China some clothed in Tartans... Books themselves are a trip...I like handling them...libraries, Books-a-Million, Barnes & Noble, etc...Loved English in school. It's nice to read books someone else loves so you feel like you've climbed inside their head a little...
    CURRENT MOON
  • Heroes

.. My Mom and Dad. (Corny, isn't it?) The people who actually survived Reconstruction after the Civil War in the South, black and white both. People who survived the Great Depression. The soldiers of WWI and WWII when war started to be defined by a whole new set of rules and standards. Soldiers today. Bob Cuttino, someone who had the nerve to be spiritually right in the wrong place at the wrong time. Thane Anderson who is always there for me. Gene Caveny who stood by me unconditionally. My children who survived my mistakes...My cousin Ora who never gave up when she had so many reasons to...Another long list...

Your result for Fantasy Seduction Quiz: What type of fantasy senario would you like to experience in bed? What type of creature would be most likely to seduce you?...

    Vampire

You attracted a Vampire. You either have a hidden dark side that only comes out when inspired, or you yourself are very dark and seductive. Vampires have a tendancy to attract the innocent or dark and are attracted to these aspects themselves. With a vampire you could get a long lasting seduction or a one night fling. Either way you should expect wine, candles, romantic passion, and maybe a little nip here and there.

Thanks, things are going good. I'm feeling pretty much back to myself, just getting used to the craziness of having 3 little ones. Casey and Drew are loving having a little sister and are great at helping out, for the most part. Just not always so great at staying quiet while she's sleeping.

Some simple ways to celebrate Earth Day...

Walk, ride your bike, or carpool to work.

Turn off all non-essential lights in your home.

Call your congressman or representative, and demand legislation be instituted to better protect our fragile environment, and to curb the carbon emissions fueling global climate change.

    Plant a tree!

    Recycle!

When shopping, look for the highest available percentage of post-consumer recycled goods.

If everyone acts in unison, together we can build a better, greener future for our children, and grandchildren.
