Mimic a Stanger is a fairly new group. Formed in the Spring of ‘09, they quickly grew a large online following, and were seen sharing with stage with artists Stephen Jerzak, Romance On A Rocketship and Breathe Electric during the Summer. Their first single “Better Off Tonight” hit iTunes on July 6th 2009.
The band is made up of Lee C., who sings, shares screaming duties and does the programming, and Matt B., who shares vocals, screaming and occasional rapping. The Genre is a Electro/Alternative with some screaming.
In October they released ‘We’re Goin Out” which showed a significant change in sound from their previous efforts.
In November they released the simply titled ‘The Summer E.P”; which featured their first 4 major recordings “Better Off Tonight”, “Remember When”, “Three Long Years”, and the fan fav Mayday Parade cover “Jamie All Over”.
Their influences are mostly 80’s/90’s alternative bands ( The Cure, Depeche Mode, Nirvana), but are also heavily influenced by the 90’s dance music scene (Benassi Bros, Tiesto, Lords of Acid, Curve)...
