Mimi Secue started to make music in spring 1999.
Crystalisation point of the early musical work was the Cselley Mill a long time placed point of culture and music in the east of Austria.
Mimi Secue see themselves as a classically rock-orchestrated band with
guitars, bass, drums and voice, extended by strings, vibraphone, glockenspiel and metallophone bound to the slowed down guitar music.
In September 1999 the debut album »Amazonas« was developed and published by the label P.A.M. Records / Edel, which does not exist any more today.
The album contained seven calm and rather introverted and reserved songs, which defined the band's future musical adjustments and aesthetic.
In August 2001 the band recorded ten songs for the second self-titled long player, which was published on the new founded and independent label Karate Joe, marking its first release in April 2002.
In February 2003 Mimi Secue retired themselves to the west hungarian outback to record their third album »Forst« in self-direction. the postproduction started in February 2004 under the direction of Martin Siewert (Trapist/ Thrill Jockey-artist). A self-contained album was the final result.
As Mimi Secue did the mix and master of the »Forst« album, they also started to work on some new songs. At the end of this process they went back to Hungaria, were they recorded their latest album "naila" in the summer of 2005. What had begun on the »Forst« Album with songs, sounds and structures should turn to more contoured and clear songwriting on »Naila«.

Our new album "Herbarium" is
out now on CdBaby (MP3 so far, physical CD is on its way).
Diverse palette of styles (post-rock,
ambient, electronica, trip-hop, with elements of noise, dub,
neoclassic and free improvisation), united by cinematic, slightly
pensive mood.
«Herbarium» is called so
because of heterogeneity of «songs», which can be
compared to miscellaneous leaves in the album, still being belonged
to the family of trees. Trying to avoid non-alive metaphors here,
only thought of diversity and warm and innermost feeling that
herbarium is capable to conjure up. «... This leaf I picked up
in the park where I met her, and this - I sat by the river,
contemplating...». So tracks were created – one was captured
in some magic jam, another – recorded layer by layer and
meticulously mixed then, next – cut from previous sessions and so
on.
All compositions are united by Poostosh
sense of music – mostly pensive, spatial, tender and experimental.
There's a lot of soul and charisma in every leaf... So please let
your soul look over our HERBARIUM.

Abgerundet wird das ganze von meinem Lieblings-DJ; der Nino aus Wien, unterstützt von seinem Band-Drummer David... was die auflegen werden lässt sich immer schwer prognostizieren, aber gut wirds allemal...
