Influences
The love of music, the ups and downs of life, girlfriends (both real and imagined), chemicals that affect the brain function (both natural and artificial), our fans, and most importantly, our friends and family, to whom we owe everything. Other artists who have influenced our music: 311, Sublime, Nirvana, Phish, Weezer, Hendrix, Local H, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Umphrey's McGee, Chevelle, Tool, Jimi Hendrix, etc.
"Anybody Home" live at Silvie's Lounge 5/9/08 ..
Sounds Like
A crunchy blend of Sublime, Nirvana, 311, and Phish with plenty of Midwestern senisibility and suburban angst for good measure.
Described as an amalgamation of Sublime, Nirvana, Phish, and 311, Mind's Hideaway is a self-styled "Alterna-Jam" rock group composed of four members from the west suburbs of Chicago: Adam Boulton on drums, Graham Bridgman on vocals/guitar, Eric "Heff" Heffernan on guitar, and Nick Bajzek on bass.
The band first came together with former bassist Bryan Knysch. The first incarnation of the band grew up in the same neighborhood with each other and went to the same high school. While all were active with music and knew each other throughout their lives, they never played together until the summer of 2002. Though Bryan left the band to pursue other interests in the spring of 2005, the band picked up bassist Nick Bajzek and has continued jamming, creating, rehearsing and performing their unique blend of alternative, punk, and jam-style rock n'roll. Alaskan Native Joe Day was added to the line-up in 2007, providing a rich texture to an already explosive musical genre.
Recently the band has teamed up with producer Alex McIntyre on their latest effort, a 5-song EP entitled "Free Money." Along the way the band has also tweaked and added to their already expansive catalog, including four brand-new jams. In early 2008, the band mastered a live recording from Lunar Brewing Company from November of 2007. To pick up a copy of either cd, just send us a message.

The Elbo Room was phenomenal. We play in a Friday/Saturday night type of band. But there were plenty of great bands and their most hardcore friend/enjoyers that also dug us, and our friends/fans dug them, that it was a great night. NEW ALBUM coming soon. You will not even believe it. I can't even accurately describe it. If you like good, you will like it. And that is what we go for. See you all soon! HEFF
