Mind The Gap Theatre is dedicated to the exchange of new plays between the US and UK. With our dedicated and talented acting company, The Anglo-American Repertory, our goal is to build a theatrical bridge between NY and the UK. Mind The Gap has working relationships with a variety of noted theatre artists in both the US and UK and we find it necessary to take our commitment to our work-and the scope of our operations- to the next level. Currently we produce a monthly reading series of New British Plays and are seeking producing partners for a handful of new American and British works in which we strongly believe. Some notable events in our history include: 3 time winners of the Samuel French Festival of New Plays; World premiere of the stage adaptation of Gary Oldman's NIL BY MOUTH; US premiere (workshop) of David Eldridge's UNDER THE BLUE SKY; one of the select companies invited to participate in the UKwithNY Festival sponsored by British Airways; working closely with the St. George's Arts Initiative on their monthly series. Mind The Gap has been run as solely a volunteer organization since its inception in 1998. Our support has come "out of pocket" and from individual donations. With our new non-profit status we will seek support from foundations and look for larger sponsorship opportunities. Our goal is to grow into a professionally run theatre company. We believe that the future of theatre is in fostering new writers and that the bond between the US and UK is significant in developing new theatre.

Yo Paula! Well, I could come when this tour finishes at the end of April, though to tell true I was hoping to recouperate (spelling?) on a beach somewhere;the last few months have been stupidly hard work. But New York could be a lot of fun, couldn't it...hmmmm...
