Born in Chile, it was in Switzerland that Juan Baeza discovered and fell for electronic music. Already behind the turntables from the tender age of 18, his first influences were of a more abstract electro. The astounding precision of his intuitive mixing and the profound research for evermore subtle finesse won the hearts of many of the underground scene.
From as early as 1991 he was playing at various events and social centres and he invested in a few collectives such as “Amnesia All Styles” in 1993. He became resident at the Veaudoux Club in 1998 and “PKSystem” in 2000. In 2005 he also became resident at the mythic underground Thursday night party called “La CauseTek”.
He did not wait for the “minimal fashion” to explode before playing for an avid public and in 2006-2007 he returned to his native South American continent where he played at some of the most famous clubs and venues in Chile such as la Feria, Le Journal, PIso 33 & After Domenica. He became resident at After La Cabana where his nickname “Minimal Juan” was given to him by his adoring fans.
He has performed in many venues in the French speaking part of Switzerland such as D! Club, La Ruche, Base Bar & La Mine in Lausanne, The Legend in Bienne as well as Le Sphinx & Le Dome in Martigny.
Juan Baeza started composing back in 2004. Minimal psychedelic sounds with a dark bass line and experimental rhythms were his first tentatives which slowly matured into what is today known as “Juan’s music”. A precise kick, simple rhythms, efficient melodious micro sounds, fragments of voices with an avid abuse of effects single out his sound, making it particular to Juan Baeza.

An artistic event of techno music and video art performance in the heart of Milan, with the contribution of Box Vision And Galleria Meravigli. The location is very significant being in the historical part of Milan with its typical architecture and charm, it will be a night in which all the positive energy will be released in a city which is often closed to young people and there expressive necessities. The colors of the night and the appropriation of the city center by the youth culture will push aside the greyness and the disturbing chaos that are king during the day. We will once again get together by the "sacred fire" listening and dancing to the rhythm of the drums!

Rodoid starts the year 2009 with a brilliant six tracker from Detroit based artist Monopole, whose music stands somewhere between, ambient, digital dub and electronica. Richard Sudney dissects and manipulates audio fragments collected during his long wanderings among various abandoned buildings in Detroit, his tracks thus being sonic excursions in the heart of the city, where everyday ordinary sounds find themselves sublimated.
