Buttersprites members Jen Gay (drums), Julie Grant (keys), and Lunarre Omura (bass) join forces with local singer songwriter Amzeah Smith (vox) and Cathy Le (guitar) to form MiniRex in September 2007.
Gay originally from Rhode Island, was a French pop DJ for two years, and currently plays drums in Seattle band Kaliningrad.
Oakland-born Grant grew up in Everett and has played keys for Buttersprites since 2003.
Omura originally from Oahu landed in Seattle back in 1999 and joined Buttersprites in 2003. She was a member of local progressive cocktail band Lushy from 2004 thru 2006.
Olympia-born Smith is a singer songwriter currently working on a solo acoustic project, and performs at local Seattle venues.
Bellingham native Cathy Le is an occasional Rockaraoke hostess and has dabbled in playing keys + guitar for several years. She played keys + guitar for a short stint with New Order tribute band Love Vigilantes.
