About me:
My name is D. Ernest Wachter. I'm a contemplative/activist living in central PA USA. I've been studying the spiritual traditions of the world for over 20 years. The Ministry of DEW is my ecumenical, inter-faith ministry project aimed at promoting contemplative arts & sciences, social justice activism, and sacred music & musical education. If you are looking for spiritual direction or spiritual therapy, please consider my donation-based ministry services. I believe that being spiritual director and therapist requires most of all that one is leading an ethical, vegetarian lifestyle (living simply so that others may simply live) and practicing daily contemplation, as I am doing. I am a Christian Hermeticist and a Buddhist, but study and teach the wisdom of most spiritual traditions, particularly from the mystical schools.
Meditation/Contemplation and the Enneagram are the most useful tools I've found to accelerate spiritual evolution. I teach these and many other spiritual subjects. In my music ministry I teach guitar, bass, drums/precussion and sacred chant (including Sanskrit, Aramaic and other forms of chanting). I also perform holy blues/folk/trance/rock and other types of sacred music, both solo and in a duet called the Bridal Chamber. All of my ministry projects are offered free, but donations are requested to support my ministry efforts. The minimum suggested donation is $15/hr for teaching services and $30/hr for musical performance. But nobody is ever turned away for being unable to make a donation to my ministry. My social activism focuses on advocating a comprehensive and universal reverence for life ethic. The areas of social justice activism that I am most involved in are promoting animal liberation and ecumenical/inter-faith relations. Who I'd like to meet:
I'm interested in forming a kalayana mitta (spiritual friend) network and contacting any nearby persons knowledgable on mystical subject matters or active in social justice issues.
I'm also seeking clients interested in receiving professional, customized Spiritual Therapies or Music Education.
